Cold Climate

Nashua has a cold climate. During the winters it is freezing, and snows quite a bit. Nashua’s spring and fall aren’t always freezing but are very cold. In the Summer months the temperature rises but never gets too hot. Typically the warmest the summer months get is the mid 80’s.

Downtown District

Nashua’s downtown district is what makes it so fun and memorable. When you go downtown you will have plenty of opportunities to shop at unique shops & boutiques. There are also bars & eateries, farmers markets, churches and many historical buildings.

Indoor Fun

Since the majority of Nashua’s weather is on the colder (very cold) side, the city has perfected indoor play. Nashua wants to make sure all its residents are staying active even if they don’t want to play in the snow outside.

You can find some good family fun at Nuthing but Good Times, FunWorld, or SkyVenture.

Nuthin But Good Times

Although Nuthin But Good Times isn’t directly in Nashua, it is only a short distance outside of the city. Nuthin But Good Times is the perfect place to go to get out of the snow during the cold months. There are no time limits and you are able to walk in whenever you want to play without having to make any reservations.

FunWorld

When you drive up to FunWorld the first thing you will notice is the entire building looks like a castle. Your children will immediately get excited! FunWorld is filled with arcades, small carnival rides, an indoor play structure, a bowling alley, a royal carriage you can ride in and even concessions. You will be able to spend hours with your family.

SkyVenture

SkyVenture is a great way to get out of the cold and enjoy your own little oasis. SkyVenture has several activities to choose from, including;

  • Indoor Skydiving: Indoor skydiving is where there is a strong wind tunnel. You can float above the wind and it will feel like you are skydiving – without the whole jumping out of a plane thing.
  • Indoor Surfing: SkyVenture has the largest indoor surfing facility in all of North America. Surfers will use real surf boards where you can learn skills that can be transferred to ocean waves.
  • FishPipe: According to their website, “Fishpipe NH is a new and unique water ride where you slide farther than the world’s longest water-slide. While riding you will stay in the bottom of the barrel and it rotates around you! Solo riders can try to run inside, slide, or even try surfing on their feet. With 2 or 3 riders inside they slip and slide together, frontwards, backwards, or sideways.”
  • Rock Climbing: The rock climbing wall is one of the most realistic walls and it will feel like you are climbing on a real mountain. Come and build your rock climbing skills even when it is too cold to climb outside!

Conway Arena

Most people in Nashua are used to the snow and have created hobbies that rely on the cold weather. Many people in Nashua are involved in ice skating and ice hockey. So, during the summer months, Nashua residents still want to keep practicing their skills.

Conway Arena allows residents to come and have ice skating lessons, participate in competitive ice hockey leagues, and even recreational ice skating.
